I remember vividly as a young teenager my parents would say “You need to make good grades so you can go to college and get a good job one day”. I thought, yeah I’m just taking it one day at a time because I am young and not thinking about work at the moment. As you can see or probably already know that this is the classic middle class quote that most baby boomers shared with their sons and daughters. You must understand that I’m not undermining the importance of employment in any way. The fact of the matter is, whether you have a career at the moment or not, nothing is guaranteed. This is especially true if you are an employee and plan to climb the imaginary corporate ladder. The scary thing is that I personally know individuals with Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate degrees that are unemployed. Heck, I know some that are living paycheck to paycheck on $80,000 a year and dreading every moment of their life. As a college grad myself, I completely understand that a college education is very important but there has to be more to life than just pursuing a “good job”. Some people from Generation Y understand this and are already working their part-time business in their spare time. They understand that they need multiple streams of income in order to get ahead and bypass the financial stress that most of their parent’s are experiencing right now. I suggest that the Generation in their 20’s and 30’s start a home based business before the monthly bills outweigh the paycheck from the job and you have to play “catch-up” for the majority of your life. Imagine constantly having to pay off credit card debt, student loans, a mortgage, and take care of kids with money that can be taken away from you at any time for no legitimate reason. Look at a home business as a safety net initially and as a way to become financially independent and build residual income in the very near future. You can keep your day job while you build your business part time and get ahead while not relying on one non-guaranteed income stream. If we don’t start generating income outside of our day jobs then this Generation will suffer well into the future because of inflation and the weakening dollar. Besides, having something to call your own is entirely more rewarding than making your boss richer. Generation Y must change in a hurry, and not all of them will, but hopefully most of them can see where this “new economy” is headed. Become your own boss and take more control over your life. Working hard at a home business for 4-5 years and being able to quit your boss sounds a lot better than working the rest of your life for an employer scraping for retirement money that may not even be there in the end. The strong, bold, and fearless will understand this simple concept of making money while others will literally “work hard” for the rest of their existence. Be open-minded and understand the true benefits of a home based business and you will shortly reap the financial rewards it has in store for your future.

I found this fascinating quote today:
The U.S. laws that affect small-business owners are always changing. Home- based business owners fall under this large category as well. It is fair to say that these business owners are not aware of all the laws that can and will have an impact on their businesses. How could they be aware? These individuals are extremely busy running their businesses. Still among the everyday tasks of owning and running a small business are those ever so overlooked legal issues that may arise. Most small businesses- in fact, all of them-are only a single lawsuit away from shutting their building doors and home-based offices.cclem21.wordpress.com, DRP Access, Sep 2009

Why offering a prepaid legal plan with your company’s benefits package pays off for employees–and for you
by Jennifer Larson
A prepaid legal plan is just what it sounds like: an arrangement that gives an employee access to the services of an attorney for a wide range of legal needs. Depending on the type of plan, the possibilities range from assistance in creating a will to contract negotiation to representation in divorce proceedings or for a major trial.
The number of employers offering prepaid legal plans to their employers is growing, but right now, it’s still pretty small. According to the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans’ Employee Benefits Survey: U.S. and Canada 2009, about a quarter of respondents say they offer a legal services plan to their participants. The Society for Human Resource Management conducted a similar employee benefits survey and found that about 21 percent offer legal services.
The benefit to the employees is fairly straightforward. “It gives people access to the legal system,” says Nick Serba of Pre-Paid Legal Services. “Most people are priced out of the legal system. They can’t afford it, or they don’t know someone who can help them.”
Terry Perry, owner of PinkSlip, a three-person company in San Jose, Calif., was grateful for her company’s prepaid legal plan two years ago when she received a speeding ticket while out of town. She called and received an attorney’s assistance to get it settled quickly.
“The benefit is fantastic for those sorts of things,” says Perry, who has offered the plan as a benefit to her employees for three years.
So what’s the payoff for employers? Studies have shown that employees who are satisfied with their benefits tend to be more satisfied with their jobs in general. Proponents of prepaid legal plan benefits say access to legal services tends to reduce employee absenteeism because employees can get the services they need. They don’t need to miss work to sort out their legal affairs.
“It keeps the employees in a more productive mode,” Serba says.
It can be useful, Perry agrees, but she notes that some people may be reluctant to spend any additional money right now.
“I know people are cautious about how they’re spending their money,” says Perry, who asks her employees to pay for this particular benefit if they want to use it.
The cost of offering this service varies, depending on which plan and administrator you choose. The American Prepaid Legal Services Institute estimates that the cost can range from $70 per year per employee to as much as $400 per year.

What are Entreprenuers Doing to Protect & Grow their Business?
September 24, 2009 · 2 Comments
The U.S. laws that affect small-business owners are always changing. Most small businesses- in fact, all of them-are only a single lawsuit away from shutting their building doors and home-based offices.
It makes perfectly good sense for these hard working business owners to have normal access to sound and affordable legal counsel, to address OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), taxes, personnel, and many other issues. Even direct marketing and network marketing professionals may sometimes forget that they too have business and legal needs, not just the traditional small business.
The Pre-Paid Legal Business Plan and Home-Based Business Rider can provide this and much more. These products come bundled with GoSmallBiz.com – a resource that can help small business owners through a load of non-legal issues. Together, the Business Plan, Home-Based Business Rider, and GoSmallBiz.com provide the small business owner, self-employed, and work from home professional with a cost-effective means of accessing expert support and guidance.
Thousands of small businesses are already using the Business Plan and Home-Based Business Rider. This successful niche of the Pre-Paid Legal Services product line is one of the longest-lasting among the general membership base. In other words, when business owners purchase these plans, they tend to keep them for a long time.
This brings me to my final point: At Pre-Paid Legal Services we encourage our members to use the benefits of our products. Use them early and often. The best way to avoid a damaging legal situation is to keep it from developing and compounding. Quality legal advice and counsel on the array of issues that impact business owners is the key preventative strategy.

How Do College Students Get The Protection They Need?
September 8, 2009 · Leave a Comment
A close friend that I know was traveling from Florida through Georgia for vacation. She received a traffic ticket for speeding. However, her traffic ticket was dismissed subject to her having previously taken a defensive driving course. What a break! Yeah, I couldn’t believe it myself. This saved her both points and an enormous fine. For you reading this you are probably wondering “How” is this possible at all. My friend just so happens to have a membership that helps keep points off her record and keeps her insurance costs down. Because we all know, more points equals higher premiums. The membership stated that “you and your covered family members will receive advice and assistance with moving traffic violations-anywhere in the United States, as long as your driver’s license is valid and your vehicle is properly licensed and insured and no exclusions apply.” This made me say “WOW”, because I definitely needed this while I was in school and my parents probably wished I had it more. No brainer! http://vur.me/zz/ri

New Lead Capture Page producing Excellent Results
It is no secret that over the past several months it has become harder and harder to capture potential customers names and valid email addresses. I have seen statistics that say the numbers have decreased as much as 64% over the past 23 months.
So what is the answer to this dilemma?
Many marketers that I have talked to feel that well known prolific marketer Dale Calvert has come up with the solution.
Dale’s answer seems simple. If you give visitors something of true value and mail it to them via the postal service they MUST GIVE YOU CORRECT DATA to receive their package. It makes sense to me, what about you?
For a very small monthly fee, only $19.97, Mr. Calvert will send out an unlimited number of Robert Kiyosaki DVD?s to your potential customers that visit your site.
This is NOT a digital download, this is a physical DVD sent through postal mail on your behalf to your potential customers and clients from the best selling author of the Rich Dad / Poor Dad series.
Mr. Calvert’s organization will mail an unlimited amount of Free CDs on your behalf every month for only 19.97 monthly. 1 or 1,000, I know it sounds too good to be true, but you can get all the details right here:
I think the Calvert Marketing Group has hit a grand slam homerun with this new program. Initial reports indicate many top marketers are using this system and potential customers are responding to the Free CD offer.
